Nice that it's over and both parties came to a compromise. The IW guys definitely deserved the royalties they were promised. However, this
EA said the settlement represented a victory for the developers. "Activision's refusal to pay their talent and attempt to blame EA were absurd," it said in a statement. "This settlement is a vindication of Vince and Jason, and the right of creative artists to collect the rewards due for their hard work."
is just silly. EA should be the last company talking shit about publisher-developer relations.
No that's activision.
No that's activision.
I've heard a lot more horror stories about working for EA then working for Activision...
I love these arguments people seriously seem to have over who is shittier, EA or Activision
I'm so pissed. I was hyped for so long for Respawn's game, but knowing that it'll be Origin only ah fuck.
I love these arguments people seriously seem to have over who is shittier, EA or Activision
They are both huge entertainment companies. They do great things and terrible things but typically do what they do for their bottom line. I don't think either company is inherently "shitty" but the idea that EA is going to wag it's finger at Activision and make like it's standing up for the little guy developers is laughable.
Oh no, someone just said that Activision did some good things, shit's about to go down
Why were you hyped? We know literally nothing about it?
We knew it was a semi-futuristic shooter, and I've loved everything pre-money whoring Activision-controlled Infinity Ward produced.
