I'm well aware that Jailbreaking my iPod touch voids the warranty, but if I were to restore the iPod back to factory settings will this renew my warranty?
I can't see why not also make it a new ipod, like don't use a backup
Ahh, see, now i'm trying to restore it but i'm getting the following error.
"The iPod 'Cooper's iPod' could not be restored. This device isn't elible for this build"
I'm kinda left in the dark with this one..
Update: The Fix was easy, I hadn't updated my iPod in a while. Once i'd updated it, it had been restored to factory settings. Lovely jubbly!
Apple store guy said "just restore or remove the jailbreak and nobody will ever know"

Hell, the people at the Apple store don't even care if you jailbroke it or not. I took it there because I had tried to restore and my phone kept showing my (obviously modified) Apple logo, he just restored it like nothing was wrong.
they get paid to fix your shit so unless they are rawrtards why would they not just help you?
You can't renew your warranty. No matter what you do. Unless you get apple care or something like that I think
Yes. If you restore your iPod, Apple will never know you jailbroke it.
You won't renew your warranty, but it will just go for the remainder of your warranty.
