(Will be upgrading to 64 bit later.) I will be storing my OS and some programs like Steam, Photoshop, and Sony Vegas on it. Any reccomendations would be great.
I'd invest money into a 64-bit operating system. You have 6gb of RAM plus however much RAM your videocard has. Because you only have a 32-bit OS, you can only use 4gb of all of that.

I am just saying that it would be silly to install it on my hard drive then on the SSD later.
I'm using the 60gb vertex 2 ssd, it works great and i have had no problems. I symbolic linked my user folder and my steam apps folder over so it isn't written on too much. keeping your steamapps folder on the ssd doesn't improve load times much on steam games. it does improve computer startup and program launch times though if $120 for an ssd is too much, you can go for the 32gb; i'm only using 29gb of mine.
Is the OCZ Onyx good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227510
No. Compared to other SSDs like the Vertex and Agility (1, 2, 3), the performance of the Onyx is significantly worse. Also, some people might claim to do it, but I don't believe you can comfortably fit a Windows 7 installation with plenty of games and software on a 32GB drive. I recommend an Agility 3 60GB ($149.99 at Newegg), Solid 3 60GB ($129.99 at Newegg) or Vertex 2 60GB ($119.99) at least. I don't believe your motherboard supports SATA III 6Gb/s, which means it won't be able to use the Agility 3 or Solid 3 at their full potential, but they should be backwards compatible. All of my SSDs are OCZ so I don't have experience with other brands, but I know Intel makes excellent SSDs too. As usual, you should browse around and make sure you look at reviews and user experiences on forums before you buy, so you're aware of their real-world performance and any outstanding issues.
Well here is my motherboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131386R For the SSD would this work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227550
It's a SATA II SSD, which means it will not go any higher than 3GB/s compared to 6GB/s for SATA III. To answer your question, it is compatible with that motherboard.

(I think)
The listed write speed of the SSDNow V100 64GB is lower compared to the Vertex 2 60GB (145MB/s vs 275MB/s). There's a OCZ Vertex 2 (OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G) with 25nm flash memory on Newegg for $119.99, or $104.99 after a mail-in rebate, if you don't mind the slightly lower speed, 4GB less capacity and worse durability compared to the 34nm model (OCZSSD2-2VTX60G), which is also $119.99 but does not have a mail-in rebate available.
mail-in rebates shouldn't be considered when choosing hardware; they are an added bonus, not something you factor into the price
