I just had a flashback to a movie I watched as a kid years ago and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the name of it. All I remember is a part near the end where this kid with a rifle is running from someone. At one point he drops most of his bullets and only has a couple left. At the confrontation with the person chasing him he shoots his last one or two rounds to intimidate the guy, then bluffs him with his empty gun. I think it was set in the west (as in "Wild West" without the "Wild", more recent). Anyone recognize it?
Star Wars?
Was it American?
Dirty harry
This sounds like something that would happen in a lot of films, is there any more information you can give us, like a year you watched it or any quotes from the movie?
Marx Brothers at the circus obviously

Probably, the only other country that would fit is Australia and I don't remember accents.

Unfortunately I don't really remember anything else about the movie, except a vague sense that the ending was along the lines of "cowardly boy finds his courage and stands up to Bad Guy" or some cliche like that. And that I watched it on VHS in the 90s.

I'm pretty sure it was made around the 80s or 90s, it was in color and didn't seem that old at the time.
