Hey guys, I need some help with some hardware issues. So lets get right into it shall we? Alright so my recently I moved my Xbox 360 into my room so I don't have to move around that much. So I got it all hooked up every things fine except..... my audio, now my setup is my Xbox 360>HDMI>Acer Monitor, My monitor does not have a port for my headphones to plug into. So I was recently looking around where I can plug my headphones into and listen to my console audio, so an HDMI audio converter might work right? I just need some thing that I can plug my headphones into. That's the only solution I know to do. Any help would be helpful! :D (and I would greatly appreciate it :D)
Plug them into your xbox.

hell, it's probably for the better that it doesn't have an audio jack in my experience monitor speakers are mostly shit, and the jacks are way the fuck worse
What I do is have the HDMI run straight to my HDMI switch which ends up going to my monitor, while I have one of these for audio (which fits next to the HDMI): [t]http://images.monoprice.com/productlargeimages/75261.jpg[/t] I then run a digital optical cable to a Turtle Beach transmitter which also acts as a TOSLINK -> 3.5mm converter, conveniently. If you don't want to get a converter of that sort, you can always use the analog audio and get a Y-cable going from RCA to 3.5mm.
Thank you for all the replies! but I kinda understand on what you're saying code_gs, but at the same time I have a hard time understanding it. What I ment for something like an HDMI audio converter was something very basic like an HDMI In and an HDMI Out with a jack port on the device. Something like a "Monoprice HDMI Audio Converter (110251)". Very simple but I do see where you're coming from.

However, Its probably still less latency than gaming on a tv as opposed to a monitor.

You should just use the audio out that XBox outputs at the same time as video for the best results.
