Not sure if this is the right section for this, but whatevs
Right now I'm at school and want to get my Android tablet to connect to the wifi. Normally, you would select the guest network, wait fora log-in screen to show (or try using the Internet, which would redirect you there) and then you'd be set.
My tablet can connect to the network, but no log in screen displays. Tried both Dolphin and the default browser, no luck.
I'm a complete moron when it comes to Android tablets, so the only bit I know about the specs is that it's a kindle fire on 4.0.4
The login screen usually displays when you try to navigate to a webpage. You might want to ask the IT department about the network setup, maybe there is some sort of proxy or something you need to use
Forgot to mention that this thing is basically a Galaxy Nexus inside of a Fire. Before my friend sent it to me, he fucked around with it.
Oh, I'm guessing it's on a custom ROM? That could be the problem, but does it connect to other Wifi networks fine?

Well, he can connect but the login prompt doesn't appear - that's his problem...
