The way I do is search on minimum of 5-10k buyout. That way I save money and never gets out bid.
(I tried bidding, but I got outbit immidietly. It sucked ass)
It's a bit silly how you end up farming for gold and not for gear eventually in lvl 60. The stats are just way too random on items that drop

That's an error, isn't it? Doesn't sound right to me.
I talked to someone a few hours ago who got 170 dollars from selling one item before the inferno changes.
Latest patch pretty much gives you a new way to grind for gear now, I think it's okay if the player estimates the option with the least opportunity cost
I really don't understand Diablo 3 as a game.
It's a singleplayer RPG with 4 player co-op, right? So why does it seem like it's so desperately trying to be an MMO. Do people really grind a singleplayer game?
I just can't get my head around it.

grinding isn't purely an MMO concept

Yeah if you are autistic and seriously grinded that game over and over just so you could have the best gear possible
Nobody I knew honestly played the game like that, and it's not the reason most people played it either. you could play it like an MMO grind for the best gear or you could play it as a singleplayer/co-op RPG where you could find cool randomized loot wherever you went and build interesting character archetypes

This is because someone put a bigger bid on the item before your bid. So if you put like 350 gold and the original person put 1,000 gold, it would place the next bid at 400 (increments of 50, I believe) until you passed whatever amount they bid initially.
