I can make a LIVE USB fine with ubuntu 9.04. Problem is that is deletes all my files every time I start it up. How can I make this fucker save them. I googled but nothing works so far.
Will this work with Linux Mint 7, since it's derived from Ubuntu 9.04?

I tried it, couldn't get persistence to work.
Fuck, I don't get the GUI like with the LIVE stuff. I just get something like a full screen command prompt but more confusing.

Most unfortunate... -_-
Encrypt them. Then gZip all of them and encrypt them again. Both encryptions with 4096 bit keys stored on a floppy. Then password it and the floppies.
Wallah, no distro is gonna fuck with your shit.
To get it running on my external HDD, I just put the disc in and said install to External HDD and put GRUB on that partition and voila.
