my god! will it be able to handle more than one player at the same time??????
Ambitious.
This is what drives the future of gaming.
a game being locked at 30 fps is totally bullshit [editline]4th April 2014[/editline] I mean, its 2014 Jesus Christ like, 15-20 years ago we had 64mb ram, now 8gb is the recommended amount for gaming
I cant wait to get this shiiittt
Why are they even making a 360 version? Wouldn't making it a One/PC game be a decent way to get more 360 owners to move over the Xbox One?
Why are they even making a 360 version? Wouldn't making it a One/PC game be a decent way to get more 360 owners to move over the Xbox One?
Because not everyone wants to move to next gen yet.
Can anyone who's played Titanfall say if the game really is next-gen? With it being modified Source engine and other factors, it didn't seem very next-gen to me from what I've seen, which doesn't make the 360 port very implausible besides vast graphical downgrades.
Because not everyone wants to move to next gen yet.
Because less people would buy it since they don't want to switch to next gen. In a nutshell, "WE NEED MORE MONEYY"
Why are they even making a 360 version? Wouldn't making it a One/PC game be a decent way to get more 360 owners to move over the Xbox One?
EA/Respawn Entertainment doesn't own the XBox One so I don't see why it'd matter?
I love that it comes out soon, yet it's still shrouded in mystery.
Because less people would buy it since they don't want to switch to next gen. In a nutshell, "WE NEED MORE MONEYY"
Or maybe they just want to support the old gen? You think they made the xbox 360 version for free?
EA/Respawn Entertainment doesn't own the XBox One so I don't see why it'd matter?
That's not what I'm asking about. I'm asking why put the resouces (doesn't matter who is developing/porting it) into a last gen console when Microsfot is so heavily advertising it as an Xbox One game. If they made the game only on PC and the Xbox One they could potentially sell more Xbox Ones because of Titanfall. Seems like a missed opportunity to me.

Maybe you wouldn't but others would. What I'm saying seems to be going over your head a bit. Why make a game that's being advertised as the new system's flagship game be made on the last gen console? the Xbox One needs a system seller and Titanfall could have easily been that game.
OH MAN, 31 FRAMES
its running on source, so while it doesnt look bad by any means, PC on MAX still looks like something from a couple years ago
iirc titanfall runs on a heavily modified version of source. saying titanfall runs on source is similar to saying half-life 1 runs on the quake engine.
like, 15-20 years ago we had 64mb ram
More like 64K RAM
More like 64K RAM
I believe the original Xbox had 64MB of RAM and that came out in 2001 so almost 13 years ago
The Xbox One version, on the other hand, runs at almost 60fps at 792p.
I'm sorry, what? It doesn't even run at 1080p and it still can't even reach 60fps?! Forget next gen, the current gen hasn't even arrived yet...
I'm sorry, what? It doesn't even run at 1080p and it still can't even reach 60fps?! Forget next gen, the current gen hasn't even arrived yet...
There's the PS4. Glorious FOX Engine 1080p 60fps.
its running on source, so while it doesnt look bad by any means, PC on MAX still looks like something from a couple years ago
Unreal Tournament 3, which came out in 2007, looks better (and runs better) than Titanfall at max settings. I like the game a lot, but "next-gen" it certainly isn't.
I believe the original Xbox had 64MB of RAM and that came out in 2001 so almost 13 years ago
I can't believe that has been around 13 years already. When people mention 15-20 years ago, I'm still thinking it's somewhere between the 1980s till the early 1990s
Hasn't 30 FPS been "standard" for console games for a long time, regardless of how detailed they are? Its like a AAA big name studio announcing how their latest console title "Goes past the title screen when you press start".
I'm sorry, what? It doesn't even run at 1080p and it still can't even reach 60fps?! Forget next gen, the current gen hasn't even arrived yet...
To be fair, you won't see proper "next-gen" titles for 1-2 years at the least. Most of the 360/PS3 lineup for about a year were basically late gen Xbox/PS2 games that were a bit prettier and ran notably nicer.
60 FPS makes a hell of a difference, and I can't believe with the size of the xbone compared to the PS4 that they weren't able to include the performance.
