Risks? That was the point from the get-go. Cinematic Universes are the in thing for Hollwood and everyone wants their own.
This looks so cheesy and sound so dumb I kind of love it [editline]23rd May 2017[/editline] Plus, it's a neat cast, no question
Are they rebooting it again (getting rid of untold and mummy) or just telling us what we already knew? [editline]22nd May 2017[/editline] Goddamnit the mummy stars are in the picture but not Dracula?

Can it be the mummy instead? That movies gonna be unbearable and I'd rather kill them off ASAP. Dracula untold was at least watchable, I was actually ok with a universe when that was all we had
Does anyone under the age of 30 care about Universal monster characters? This is like the Lone Ranger reboot - if everyone who used to care about it is dead of old age, why do you assume it's going to be huge again right off the bat? There's nothing wrong with bringing back classics, but just because it was popular decades ago, doesn't mean it'll become popular again now, no matter how much you advertise it. Start small, make a few low-budget films, see if people like them before committing to a big-budget film, let alone a huge multi-film universe.
I just want Brendan back....

It really just depends on the property, the people recreating it, and the market climate. Their short-comings differ from case to case but are usually due to poor creative decisions and backroom politics.

Never heard of them. [editline]23rd May 2017[/editline] Lone Ranger was actually forgotten though
