I just replaced a few parts in my computer.
From my dual core to a quad core.
AMD x2 6000+ 3.0ghz (Dual Core) --> Phenom II x4 940 Black Edition (Quad Core)
Replaced the Heatsink to a Zalaman based brand (Nvidia)
And swapped out my 8800GT for a GTX 460,
Main issue is that now when I have everything plugged in, The computer has no power surging through the mobo, Before this, Everytime I flick the back switch of the computer to allow the power to go through, There's a noise of my Hard Drive spinning followed by a blue light on the LED on the front panel of my computer.
Now when I flick the back switch, nothing happens. I might have unplugged a few cables for the Mobo, I've rewired everything to the best of my ability and checked the manual for directions, I haven't seen a fix. I don't know if my Mobo just isn't wired right of if it shorted out when I tried to turn the computer on earlier.
Right now, Im running on a 850watt power supply. I don't remember the brand name that well but I do know that it can run my graphics card well enough.
The motherboard I'm using is the
K9A2 CF-F V2 - Newegg the name, You can find diagrams online and the manual for download.
Do you guys need pictures of my so-called progress as of now?
Be handy to see a few pictures as to me sounds like either you have plugged something in wrong somewhere, you have blown the board or something is faulty. This is just a rough guess from what you have said.
I could upload pictures but I don't have the USB cable for my camera right now. How will I know if my mobo is fried? I didn't hear or see anything happen. And my computer worked fine up until I turned it off, And starting replacing parts back together. I put the old parts back on but It seems as if the Power Supply isn't even working at this point. The LED on the front of my computer turned red a while back when I plugged in the wires and messed around with the order of the small 2 prong plugs for the Power SW and Reset SW (SW = Switch). So I don't know....
All I know is that right now as I type on my laptop, Everytime I try to plug my computer in, nothing happens. I press a button, Nothing happens. As of right now I'm actually starting to believe that my motherboard is fried....I need a new one I think. I'm pretty broke now though. I don't have much cash left and all I have is about 50-60 bucks. I won't be able to afford anything will I?
PS: What's a pretty decent and cheap mobo that can run a Quad Core using AMD2+ socket, Use at least DDR2 Ram and Support SLI/Crossfire?
The main possibility that the motherboard is fried is when nothing happens when you press the power button. The other thing is make sure you have got the power switch reset switch cables on the right metal prongs otherwise this will make it seem the computer is dead. Also make sure the power power connecters for the motherboard are really firmly pushed in.

I didn't mean to say the main possibility as it could be a million other things but thats quite often the main sign if everything is plugged in correctly.
