Talk about a misleading title holy shit. I was wondering what the hell is Alan Moore doing.
What script is there even to write for Gran Turismo?
Imagine "Cars" but shinier.
This has potential but I never knew that the games had proper stories. The last one I played was GT1 tho. Color me interested.
"He failed his b license. So he went for it again, and passed."
He passed his B License, but isn't Gold. So he went for Gold, and he did.
Talk about a misleading title holy shit. I was wondering what the hell is Alan Moore doing.
The funniest thing to me is that Watchman had like fifteen writers. At one point it was fucking Solid Snake and they worked a lot of ideas into the movie that he had.

i assume it's just going to be a story about someone breaking into gt racing and they're just using the gran turismo brand to grab attention
What script is there even to write for Gran Turismo?

Tse's story is currently under wraps, but we've previously heard that it will be based on the life of Lucas Ordonez, an actual racer who cut his teeth on the venerable game franchise.

Yeah I just read that David Hayter was writing the screenplay, and apparently did most of it??
From what I'm reading on this list I have, a lot of the changes to the films script were done by him, except his was originally more modern rather than height of the cold war. He set his in 2004, with flashbacks to the 80s and 70's, rather than 80s and flashbacks to the 50's and 60's. [editline]22nd November 2013[/editline] Things like the explosions around the world for the ending and Nightowl witnessing Rorschach death.
Oh god, just imagine if it was a knockoff of drive.
He passed his B License, but isn't Gold. So he went for Gold, and he did.
lol nobody gets gold
Oh shit really? Time to whip out my emulator again.
lol nobody gets gold
There's a nice car if you earn Gold for each License.
so it is a driving video game about a guy who drives because of a driving video game from earlier in this series of driving video games, excellent
GT3
* B Licence (All Gold): Mazda MX-5 LS * A Licence (All Gold): Mazda RX8 * IB Licence (All Gold): Nissan 350Z Concept Car * IA Licence (All Gold): Aston Martin Vanquish * Special Licence (All Gold): Dodge Viper GTSR Concept Car * Rally Licence (All Gold): Subaru Impreza Rally Car Prototype
[editline]23rd November 2013[/editline] damn ninja'd
Love all the posts in the thread talking about how GT has no story but not reading in the very very short article what the story will most likely be.
I thought they were talking about David Hayter.
Love all the posts in the thread talking about how GT has no story but not reading in the very very short article what the story will most likely be.
That's because the game had no story whatsoever, but the movie is more like a documentary of GT Academy and the story of Lucas Ordonez.
That's because the game had no story whatsoever, but the movie is more like a documentary of GT Academy and the story of Lucas Ordonez.
Yeah, but most people didn't seem to read that far, saying "lol how would a movie work when gt has no story", meanwhile the three paragraph article spelled out exactly what the plot would most likely be.
Why are they making a game based off of Gran Turismo? Sure, it will involve fast cars, but it seems they only go after this video game because of brand recognition. That's like making a game based off of Need for Speed or Burnout. And doesn't the Need for Speed films (which aren't based off of video games) already fill this niche?
Took me 22 posts to realize that no, GT6 is not gonna have a story mode, this is about a movie adaption from the game. :eng101:
People who drive manual do [editline]23rd November 2013[/editline] You'd be amazed, correct gear shifting can cut seconds off of a lap rather than automatic gear shifting
Who the fuck uses automatic? In these games, the manual transmission pretty much emulates a dual-clutch transmission, so you gain the control of a manual transmission, but don't have to think about the clutch.
