I've never used openfeint on ios.
Theres literally no point because gamecenter is far better, and is now a system default.
YESSSSSSSSS
Good. It was an awful piece of shit. Glad gamecenter squashed it like a bug.
It never made sense to me, why would I ever want to use that when GameCenter is a default ap?
Actually OF was a trillion times better than Gameshit, shame it's gonna be shut down.

OF was around before game center
i dont want either, im just playing a game on my ipod i dont want to send scores in and all that junk
i had an OF account, i posted on the forums a lot, they were shit
I remember using OF all the time on my iPod touch, but game center just erases any means of using it.

OF forums were quite funny, there'd be tons of threads about how Christians were better than everyone and the arguments were pretty entertaining
All I ever knew about it was the "No, I don't want all these awesome features" button
One less button to tap I guess.
I didn't mind openfeint. Was easy to ignore if you didn't want it and easy to use if you did. And the way it's being shut down is horrific. Some competing Japanese company bought it for like $100 million to increase their userbase. Some thought that they would merge the two services but no they just shut it down only warning devs today about it thus not giving them much time to change their games over to the other service before the holidays.
"No, I don't want these awesome features"
Yeah I seen OpenFeint on a few things I downloaded over the years, never signed up. I can not however cheer for a single platform rival to put them out of business. I don't see a point in it when this "GameCenter" isn't for multiple platforms. Why doesn't Apple stop being so egotistical and start making stuff for Android also?

Because Android is their rival?

It has nothing to do with their ego. It's company competition 101.
Even though GameCenter probably is better than OpenFeint when it comes to Apple devices, OpenFeint is IMO the best one on Android.
I could never get the damn thing to work.
So it was something like XBL on Windows phone?
Because Android is their rival?
that doesn't stop google
Good I could care less about highscores and shit.

yeah and while we're at it let's put xbox live on playstation 3 and wii. that's how it works, right?

Google is rumored to be working on a Game Center like thing, so I guess that would leave less room for OpenFeint. Unless Google make it Android 5.0 exclusive and no one gets it.

IOS has Gmail, YouTube, Google Earth, Google+, ect.

That's not the point. The Android series and the IOS series are rival companies, google and youtube are on both because google is a third party developer for both.

Why would any company develop services for the people directly competing against them. I hate apple as much as the next guy, but them not making apps for android isn't a valid reason too
It closes on my birthday, too. :D

Google would be first party on android
