Weren't they supposed to release a bigass dlc soon? When was it supposed to be?
Early 2016 as far as I remember.
game is well worth it
How does this compare to the console versions? I'm torn between this and the PS4 version because my friends play this on PS4 but I prefer PC and this has workshop support

Well this, pretty much. Also, mouse and keyboard, but that's just if you prefer that. Otherwise it's the same thing AFAIK

Get it on PC so you can mod out the stupid weapon degrading system which makes every weapon useless within a minute or two.

You realize you can use your stockpile of 500 scrap metal to repair(/reload) your weapons right? And that you can carry multiple weapons and typically gain them faster than you can level them up along with perks that make the repair waaaaay too effective?
eh, might as well wait for the steam winter sale, it might be even cheaper then

Still annoying. You can only repair a weapon 3 times (unless you luck out with that one perk that has a chance to not use a repair), and as a result, I never ever used weapon mods.

better weapons degraded so slowly it didn't really matter. a lot of the time when i was playing i'd outclass my own weapons before they became broken so i could sell them and buy the next one up and mod it.

Even by the mid-game crafting materials become so plentiful and/or new weapons that you find end up easily outclassing your current ones so there was never really a problem there.
My biggest complaint is that the weapon mods are so goddamn boring, nearly half of them are practically interchangeable.
Aside from maybe the story, I can't think of a single thing I disliked about this game, it's definitely worth your time and money (though I only played single-player)
Some of the quests get repititive after a while. Still huge fun.
I'm fine with weapon degredation, I just wish that weapons, or just higher-tier weapons, had a way to maintain them indefinitely.
