So long as it's not completely shoehorned, yes.
2013 and they've just realised this.
said that appealing to a broader audience doesn't hurt the bottom line.
that is news to me
David Gaider, a narrative lead at BioWare, cited Dragon Age 2's same-sex romance options as an example. He says they didn't feel the inclusion affected sales at all, because at the very least it was a wash between pro- and anti-LGBT fans.
Wasn't Dragon Age 2 criticised for being like shitty erotic fan fiction or something
2013 and they've just realised this.
get over your ridiculous hateboner for EA they've always been good about LGBT
get over your ridiculous hateboner for EA they've always been good about LGBT
As a company, yes. The way they implemented it in their games is insulting at best, however.
ok EA, i will agree. i never had anything against the same-sex romances and if a player is bothered by that then he can just avoid it unless he feels compelled and forced to go fuck the closest guy or girl he or she sees in the game just..dont make it sound like a fucking autistic 12 year old who loves Sonic to death wrote it, cause so far it kinda sounds like that
I mean to be kind of fair, I think they dealt with cortez's sexuality in mass effect 3 in the perfect way. It wasn't some big stereotypical gay guy, nor was it played as like a "Huge victor of social justice!!!" It was just handled as a normal part of his character, they way it should be.

Now if only we could have more diverse protagonists and fewer twenty-something buff Caucasians with a 5 o'clock shadow and no sense of humor.

And then again, you can't really call femShepard bisexual, as one of the characters was clearly intended to be available for both, regardless of specific sex/gender, but more from the point of plot inegrity, femShep was clearly half-assed addition into the first game. Which is the definition of fanservice and shoehorning stuff in. If EA's going to insist on this style of things, then pweeese stay away, for the sake of good writing in games.
you mean the cortez that miraculously survives a shuttle crash only if you fuck him before the final battle?
Actually no you're wrong you can just complete the friendship path and he lives, all you have to do is tell him at the bar you're not gay.

Doing things the public likes is a good idea business wise, who knew.
