I used freeSSHd to set up an SSH server. I can connect to it fine with PuTTY.
But when I try to login with the user I created in freeSSHd, it says my password is wrong. (Access denied)
I selected Password stored as SHA1 hash.
What do I need to do to log in?
You know that when you type in your password nothing is shown right? Not even asterisks.
Redo the password on the user and make sure you're typing it correctly on the login.
I know, I'm not stupid. I've tried "typing it correctly."
Have you double checked that the SSH server isn't set to use a keyfile?
I remember trying this program on my home server a while back, It was a pain to get working and I couldn't remember what I did though I eventually got it working again.
Is SSHd even useful on something not *nix?
