Deserves? PCs can definitely handle better Dead Space 3 and I'd love if they put extra work into better port. I wouldn't be surprised after EA's shares drop Visceral just can't risk using or doesn't have more resources for better graphics. Why is it that previous DS games were basic ports and now it's almost a crime?
The irony of all this controversy is that if it's anything like Dead Space 2 it will be a pretty decent port.
No one wants a "decent" port. Why would you pay £40 for a game that's "decent". Even being a port makes it worth much less
I'd say everyone deserves a decent Dead Space 3, without microtransactions, actually scary, and actually in space. But we're not getting that. Nobody is.
I'd like to say that all this bad press about Dead Space 3 would hurt its sales potential and maybe raise awareness about the kind of crap EA needs to stop pulling but I wouldn't be fooling anybody. This game will probably shatter sales records and be crowned GOTY by pretty much every major game "reviewer".
Why? I don't think any Dead Space has ever won GOTY.

The best part is that they are the ones who essentially released the bad press, and are now backpedaling. Had they been quiet like everytime they ported Dead Space to PC before, most people wouldn't have cared.
Anyone else getting tired of Dead Space 3 in the news? Then again, they're bringing it on themselves by being so stupid with their announcements and phrasing. If they had just said, Dead Space 3 will perform similarly to Dead Space 1 and 2, it would have been relatively smooth sailing. EDIT: The post above me beat me to it.

I agree in substance though, they really just shouldn't have said anything. Knee-jerk reactions to these kinds of announcements tend to follow.

Eh, I don't mind lack of anti-aliasing. I never turn that on in any game, cuts into my fps too much.
