• Fans spin, no beeps when GPU is plugged in, turns on and right back off when GPU is disconnected

So, I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this. My PC overheated a few weeks ago and since I've been replacing dead parts trying to get it working, so it wouldn't surprise me if my GPU was dead, but my everything else is brand new from case to motherboard so I don't know why it just shuts off without the GPU. I don't have much in the way of being able to borrow parts right now so there's not a whole lot of part testing I can do. I'm not sure what these symptoms could represent being wrong, and that's why I'm here. I don't know what to do, should I just drop it off at a PC store and get them to test shit since I can't really do that myself or is there something really obvious I'm missing? [Edit] So I turned down what my psu was putting and it's doing the same shit ad it would with the gpu in. I'm leaning toward it probably being the cpu possibly
Are you sure it overheated? Thats really hard to do these days, usually its PSU failure. Have you tried booting with 1 RAM stick? (And then the other) What are your specs. Is your screen plugged into your onboard GPU (motherboard port)
