Hey, I am planning on purchasing a gaming computer. My price range is $600-$800. I might get the X51 from AlienWare, but I want to know if you guys have any other suggestions.
Thanks!

Just remember, you can ALWAYS build something way cheaper than buying something from alienware.
You can almost get twice the computer by building it rather than going with Alienware, they are extremely overpriced.

As far as your price range, the only X51 you might get that's any good, would be going over the top of the budget, boasts that "This setup will pump out over 40 FPS in Tomb Rader on medium settings." That's not impressive. That's extremely week. It's only got a GTX 645 1GB GPU, which is pretty pathetic. It won't game acceptably at 1080p, it would barely be good at 1680x1050. My laptop cost somewhat less than the Alienware, has a GT 750m GPU (with twice the memory, at 2GB), and an i7 instead of an i3, and has a gorgeous 1080p display built in. There is literally no reason to go with the Alienware.

I'll look into that. Thanks!
