Hey guys, I've recently reinstalled vista on this PC and for some reason, the computer is not recognising my speakers. Now, They worked fine before, and on my other HDD with vista, they work fine too. My computer seems to think that i have some sort of Digital output device (SPDIF) installed and that seems to be the only playback device i have that my computer recongises. I've looked on the internet for drivers for these speakers, however non come up. I don't understand what i can do to fix the problem "/ Thanks :)
If your speakers are analog (they plug into the headphones jack or one that looks like it) then there are no drivers. Try going to Control Panel / Sound and playing around. Also, perhaps your speakers just aren't plugged in correctly, or something. Try plugging headphones in where the speakers are plugged into the PC, and listening to something. If nothing works, maybe try plugging the speakers into the headphones jack on the FRONT of your PC. Also, remember that the speakers should be plugged into the LIGHT GREEN hole on the back of your PC.
Yeah, checked all that, Its as if my computers trying to output sound through something other than my speakers and my computer can only find this digital output, which i don't have...
Try searching Windows update, usually that brings up sound drivers
Tryed it, My computer thinks that all my sound drivers are up to date and everything is working fine.
