These are my current specs. AMD Phenom II X4 965 MSI 870A-G54 Motherboard 2x2GB Kingston KVR1333D3N9 RAM Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB HDD Seasonic 620W PSU XFX AMD HD6870 3GB Windows 7 64bit 1920*1080 monitor I tried running the BF4 Beta a few weeks ago, it was basically a slideshow. Same goes for Arma 3. What should I upgrade? Budget is probably around 400-500? Would it be worth it to get 8GB RAM as well? I don't do any sort of encoding or anything though, just browsing and gaming basically.
400 to 500 what?

Really unless you want to drop close to $600 for something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1U9Nb I would just suggest getting the graphics card and ram I have in the link. With your current specs plus the GPU and Ram you should be fine to run BF4 on high if not ultra on 1080p and that way you can save up a little more so that way you can splurge on like a 4670K with a g45 gaming mobo or something.
I think gigabyte's 7870 might be for a better value right now. The R9 270X only gets about 5 FPS more than the regular 7870, so Gigabyte's highly overclocked version might get more (I could be wrong though).
Is there really any benefit to 8GB of RAM? Thanks for the suggestions.
Is there really any benefit to 8GB of RAM? Thanks for the suggestions.
If you are close to using up all your available RAM, programs will begin using your harddrive instead, which is ridiculousy slow as you might imagine 4GB is really cutting it on a non-budget system, so i'd recommend you get 8GB ram
