Not worth it. Please don't buy into this game because of hype like some people did.
It could of been a great game provided that Uber cared for it instead of throwing it out the window and giving it minimal support in favor of trying to kickstart a new RTS game. It took them months to add an offline mode and to fix numerous bugs. It feels/looks unfinished as well.
Hell, It took them a FULL YEAR to even add a unit that was showcased in a trailer. It's insulting.
I've bought because I played SO MUCH Total Annihilation when I was a kid. This was a disappointment. The game feels so empty and unfinished that hurts.
i love it, $6 is a hella good price for it, and i paid $30 or so. they still have things to add to it/improve on, but im still wasting hours away with it.

^ you guys acts like the % off isnt all that much. its 80% off, and only $6. even if you hold those opinions its still a good price in the end.

Get Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. It's the true spiritual successor to Total Annihilation.
Even if you strip away SupCom's huge battles, it's still a very nuanced and deep RTS.
Strip away Planetary Annihilation's planet combat and what you are left with is hardly deeper than a flash game.
I bought it during the summer sale, cracked it open for 5 minutes, closed and uninstalled. I have the actual disc for Total Annihilation. I will just play that.
This is one of my most regretted kickstarter backings. I thought this could be the true Total Annihilation successor that Supreme Commander planned to be, but it feels so empty and incomplete.
I don't think it's that bad for 6€. Could've been better, could've been worse.
Though when I played there didn't seem to be many players online. It wasn't deserted but not very active either.
Both supreme commanders are better then this pile of crap, it's so empty and lame, you don't feel the excitement from the past games at all. They released this unfinished, and got bit in the ass for it.
I enjoy supreme commander much more than this game. That said, they are still updating it and adding more content, and I would definitely pay six dollars for it again.
I think the main problem the game has at this point is the fact that the planets are utterly and completely boring. There's either passable terrain or there isn't. The only planets with a heightt difference were metal ones which haave thin channels.
It makes for far too simple gameplay.
The fact that the orbital stage is boring doesn't help anything either. But for 6E? It's worth it for the galactic conquest.
It's more worth it when it's 75% off. Wait for a season sale.

What. How is 75% off more worth than 80% off?

In a span of one year they've added:
- two planets
- one unit
- 1v1
- skirmish (with crap ai)
- a broken "unqiue conquest mode" that STILL CANNOT save when it released and used their online servers and an excuse to bring it out of early access (with crap ai)
- an offline mode that was requested numerous times during development and majority of the playerbase bitched about for months
half of these were after a kickstarter for a brand new RTS that meant to throw this game under a bus that failed and got cancelled because people caught on and were outraged.
In a span of one year, This game still runs like shit as well
I heard by word of mouth that it was an unoptimised, clunky piece of shit, you guys seem to agree
Sucks because Supreme Commander:FA is one of my favourite games of all time.

unoptimised? ive never had any problems running the game at a good framerate and im not running top of the line hardware over here
Games fun, runs great
Worth it at that price, lots of fun having an intergalactic nuke war with friends.
