Everyone I know says Fosters, but I think it tastes like Kangaroo piss.
Everyone I know says Fosters, but I think it tastes like Kangaroo piss.
We don't even have that shit here.
Anything BUT Fosters Seriously it's garbage
Okay, then what would be some good Australian beer? Also, I find it interesting that it's only Canadians asking.
there's got to be something
It's all pretty awful, Matso's is p good, only problem is it's kinda hard to come by because it's a WA brand.
My personal preference on Australia beer has gotta be Cartlon Draft, just is pretty nice to drink without it being horrible.
They're all shit mate, buy something German or Dutch (proper imports only for the good shit), seriously, Germany's piss water is better than Australia's best.
VB mate
Up north its easy to come across XXXX Summers and Great Northern. Goes down so easy.
Crown is okay but every other Aussie beer sucks.
I think some of the James Squire beers are good.
Just buy Mexican and German beer, that's what I do. [editline]15th September 2013[/editline] Dos Equis is p.good, but avoid Corona. Sam Adams is the only ok American beer, and Belgian brews taste like horse piss. [editline]15th September 2013[/editline] Guinness is fairly easy to get and it tastes alright.
Where are you? If you're in Melbourne then go to any little bottle shop in the inner suburbs and there will be dozens of craft beers that are usually much better than the standard Carlton Draught, VB, Tooheys, Coopers, XXXX etc. I like pale ales, so at the moment I'm enjoying Angry Man (pale ale) and Whale Ale (American ale) by Murray's Brewing co. Otherwise, try Fat Yak (pale ale) or Beez Neez (honey wheat beer) by Matilda Bay breweries. Beez Neez tastes a little lighter and fruitier than most pale ales. Fat Yak is nice and golden, perhaps a little darker than most. Carlton Draught is usually better on tap than in bottle, so I'd only consider it at a gig or when you need to buy a cheap slab. VB is for cricket only.
In all honesty, I prefer rum. Gonna try mead at some point soon though.
I think some of the James Squire beers are good.
James Squire Golden Ale is great.
Try Coopers Sparkling Ale if you can find it
Try Coopers Sparkling Ale if you can find it
that one I can
and yes I Know Fosters is out what other Beer's
I haven't seen a single can or bottle of Fosters in like 12 years, yet foreigners seem to think it's the only thing we drink. If I had to pick a beer, it'd be Carlton Draught.
I have never seen nor had I heard of Fosters till I saw someone talk about it on Facepunch.
Not sure why you'd want Australian beer in the first place, but I usually drink Carlton or Coopers sparkling ale if I have to.
Not sure why you'd want Australian beer in the first place, but I usually drink Carlton or Coopers sparkling ale if I have to.
felt like trying something new had Asian and European already
Carlton Draught is definitely the best cheap beer.
Most of these have already been mentioned, but: - James Squire Golden Ale (or any other James Squire stuff, they're all pretty good. Drinking some of their pilsner right now) - Fat Yak - Beez Neez - Coopers Sparkling or Pale - Little Creatures There are loads of other tasty beers, but there's certainly far more mediocre stuff to be had. Someone not from WA can probably add some other good ones I haven't tasted.
Bundy fuckin rum
