This is for DVD drives, I'm not trying to put HDD's from the 90's into a high end motherboard, don't worry. But still, can you guys name any?
uhhhhhhhhhhh
Every motherboard has IDE my friend.
For what processor socket?
the fuck you think dvd drives are using
I'll buy SATA if I have to, but I'm cheap. I stole a case, 3 HDDs, two fans and two DVD drives from my friend. I'm so evil.
You have a port for IDE on almost every motherboard
the fuck you think dvd drives are using
My DVD burner uses IDE. What the fuck man.
Almost any motherboard has atleast 1 IDE port, for people who still has some older stuff laying around that they want in the new computer.
Most motherboards these days still have 1 IDE channel, there are only a few exceptions to this rule. If you'd like to post what CPU and memory you have we can pick you an appropriate board if you aren't sure. Or you can post a link to a board and we'll confirm whether or not it has the IDE channel.
