A Fiver sounds like a good price for a game like this, I'd give this a look.
[sp]"None of this would have happened if you just stopped." Yeah, that's cute, but Walker didn't pay to be here.[/sp]

It's a good game. Dismissing it because of that makes little sense. If the ending was 'it was all a dream' I'd agree with you, but you have to play through it to get the point of it.
Good deal, good game.

[sp]No, but like you he did choose to try to be a hero instead of following his orders. By the way you're supposed to feel disconnected from Walker at that point in the game because he's a horrible dickbag by then.[/sp]

[sp]That's not directed to Walker, it's directed to the player[/sp]
Midweek madness? Fitting

[sp]That particular line and the fact that it is directed at the player as much as it is to Walker is meant to break that dissociation the player feels with Walker at the end of game, by making them realise that Walker's actions were inherently their own, and they are therefore as bad as Walker.[/sp]
Probably a bit overrated by some people but it's definitely worth buying at 5€. Unless you really hate cover-based third person shooters I guess.
Pick it up for the price. Game play is generic, but story is pretty good.

I'd go a little futher and say it was unique. The way they treated the decisions you make was pretty spooky and actually made you think, and tried to convey it in a pretty serious way. For that experience alone it's a great piece of writing.
Shame the game itself didn't come out 10 years ago when the mechanics were actually... interesting.
Entirely generic third person shooter with a decent plot and interesting psychological aspects.
I honestly believe the generic nature of the video game plays towards the story if anything. It is a critique on the "Modern Military" shooters of this time, so of course it is supposed to look like that.

While it does, and that was kind of the point, it still doesn't change the fact that the game is pretty mediocre in terms of mechanics.

I said story, to be fair. I know the game's gameplay isn't anything worth much.

I dunno what you're talking about, I thought it was fun

It was nice to have a game with a cover system actually incorporate the cover for once and make it be useful
I didn't say it was bad, I wouldn't really say that average game mechanics are bad, just nothing to write home about, and I do understand that they did it for the sake of their message. It's just that some people don't like games that have deliberately average mechanics. For people who don't care about story or political messages in game, there's probably not anything here for them.
