My brother just got his new pc, everything is great in it, except it only has a 256mb integrated. Someone recommend me the best card he can get for $130 or less. He's a gamer by the way, he wants to be able to play Crysis and Mass Effect 2 with the highest graphics if possible on a $130 card PCI-E by the way
$130 doesn't go too far with a graphics card, but this should be the best for that price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150369&cm_re=4770-_-14-150-369-_-Product
Thanks!

I was about to recommend this.
Well..? What power supply does your brother have? Processor? RAM? Crysis on highest is very optimistic.
Well..? What power supply does your brother have? Processor? RAM? Crysis on highest is very optimistic.
Oh, it's a AMD Athlon II X2 235e 2.7 GHZ, 6gb ddr2 ram
seconding this
Got to love when you find that great deal. :smug:
Oh, it's a AMD Athlon II X2 235e 2.7 GHZ, 6gb ddr2 ram
And the power supply?
Why 6GBs?? It really bugs me when people put 6GBs in a gaming PC. Especially next to a dual-core...it just looks weird to me.
Oh, it's a AMD Athlon II X2 235e 2.7 GHZ, 6gb ddr2 ram
You won't be able to run Crysis maxed. Maybe medium to high if your lucky.
And the power supply?
I don't know [editline]09:01PM[/editline]
Why 6GBs?? It really bugs me when people put 6GBs in a gaming PC. Especially next to a dual-core...it just looks weird to me.
That's what it came with
I don't know [editline]09:01PM[/editline] That's what it came with
Ohhh, prebuilt. Gotcha.
Open the pc up, check the power supply.
Prebuilt! Why is he buying a prebuilt and installing a card when he could build it? Usually people buy prebuilts so they don't have to do anything. When you open it up there should be a sticker on the power supply saying the wattage.
Why 6GBs?? It really bugs me when people put 6GBs in a gaming PC. Especially next to a dual-core...it just looks weird to me.
People falsely associate RAM with processing power. Then they realize the 8GB RAM computer they bought comes with a shit GPU and a shit PSU not allow many options.
If he's got over 500w in his computer, the psu should be able to handle the load. All he needs is one of these nifty little things, that should come with the graphic card;
>:( He's getting that first one waaaay up at the top of the page.
If you overload the power supply it could potentially destroy the whole PC. Just open the case, take a pic, and post it here...it's not that hard.

[editline]06:18PM[/editline] I'll tell him to get this power supply http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=ESTAR-450-N&cat=CAS

Saying just the wattage means nothing; take a picture of the label and post it here lol...
