So, what they're taking the exact same approach they have since MW2?

I think that they mean that it'll basically be Oscar Bait.
I've got to disagree, the blurring of the line between film and game is very bad. Games are becoming far too cinematic and scripted.
I kinda like the look of BO2, it looks like a nice and fresh setting, with some new mechanics like the x-ray rifle that you charge up. Of course it's not the first game with such a thing, but i've never seen a Cawadoody with anything like it.
