According to GV Mobile developer Sean Kovacs, an iTunes Store support representative claims that Apple removed the app following an AT&T request. Identified as Raymond C. in the chat screenshot, he apologized for "this unfortunate removal of a great application."
Yea unfortunately at the request of AT&T GV was removed from the App store. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and frustration on this unfortunate removal of a great application.
Kovacs claim he is getting a refund, that he is paying from his own purse.
That's why I got rid of my iPhone service - Apple is just over-commercialized and only for those who find their products useful for their appearance or social status.
I like my iPhone... :(
I don't get it. Is this good or bad? What did the app do?

Nobody knows what the app did. it just got removed with no reason why.
I don't know why people bother developing for Iphone. You can spend months making something then have Apple reject it, and you lose all of your work unless you let the jailbreakers have it.
AT&T fucking sucks.
I can't wait till the iPhone comes to Verizon.

That's not how it works. Apple gives you a set of rules which you abide to as you develop your app. It's not 'you make it and then see if they like it.'

I've heard that Apple wanted the Iphone on Verizon, but Verizon wanted to put their own OS on it or something.

Their rules are pretty elastic. Some things can break a rule and get it, some can't.
Sometimes they just pull something out of their ass.
Apparently it wasn't the fault of AT&T. Or even related to AT&T. Apparently.
