"Streamlining"
Yeah, streamlining your pockets with the money you don't want to pay extra employees. And you wonder why your games take a hit to their quality
so much for being better eh EA
generally complete bullshit lasts more than 2 weeks
Well this is a good noticed for these former EA employees are no longer slaves to EA and their horrible business. They can move on to something x16 better then their dealing with their diarrhea of bullshit.
The company did not disclose where the current layoffs were, or how many people were affected, but reports suggest that EA Mobile Montreal has been affected.

and whenever possible we retrain or relocate employees to new roles.
how about you guys read the full quote and don't just glance at the headlines for once.
also, remember the layoffs at valve a few months ago and how people were so quick to defend them because "it's an internal affair and i'm sure they have their reasoning behind laying them off." this is the exact same thing but it's different because EA and i always must find a reason to call EA hitler and use the buzzwords "greedy" "money-grubbing" "evil" and "wow terrible casual slave-like work conditions ruining gaming"
channel your hate into karate lessons or something instead of spending it whining about game publishers.

If the company has too many costs that aren't necessary then it could possibly collapse under its own weight. Then everybody would be out of a job.

If someone doesn't want to work there they don't have to... and I'm sure many developers would gladly acquire former EA employees if they do decide to quit.
