I'm thinking of upgrading my Ram, but :

As far as I know, DDR2 has a min. freq. of 800MHz, doesn't it?
Crucial tells me that my PC supports PC2-6400 and PC2-5300 modules if that helps.
Any guidance on the subject would be appreciated :)
can we please have this put in a sticky or something
DDR
double data rate
it's reported, for whatever reason, as half speed, you have 667MHz rated RAM
I've always wondered, what's a sticky?

A Thread that stays at the top of the Forum Section permanently. And it's usually always locked, and made by a mod or admin about rules or something.
Ahhh thanks :D

No. You have 667MHz RAM.
...333+333=666
Or you may be running slightly underclocked RAM. If your RAM is labeled as 800MHz then it's possible to change the speed in the BIOS. Make sure to put it at 400MHz if you do, because RAM is double data rate and will actually double it in reality.
Yeah, I snipped that last bit out because I realised there was a 667MHz DDR2.
