What did they expect? They put it up on a kickstarter.
What did they expect? They put it up on a kickstarter.
Actually they didn't. What happened was they asked Take-Two if they were okay, and had planned out that they'd send an amount from their Kickstarter directly to them. I mean I don't think it was a good idea or why they thought it would ever go through, but at least they didn't go straight to Kickstarter.

Did Take Two say "sure okay do your kickstarter", and then shut them down? Or did Take Two not respond, and so they put the kickstarter up anyways? I don't know anything about this particular mod's history.
Take Two said no, and they (evidently) ignored it. There's some muddiness about when they asked, when the kickstarter went up and when Take Two said no.
Ey, weren't these the wankers who openly waved the GamerGate flag on their mod's website and had a Vivian James palette (Redhead with Purple and Green clothes) character in most of their screenshots?

They made a draft of their Kickstarter, sent it to Firaxis to ask for permission, only to end up with a CnD from Take Two.
I'm pissed they didn't release the source for co-op before pulling this stunt.
I'm pissed they didn't release the source for co-op before pulling this stunt.
What do you mean? XCOM 2 mods all come with the source code in the mod folder, their coop mod is no exception. I've looked into steamapps\workshop\content\268500\792693587\Src and everything is there. [editline]25th February 2017[/editline] I mean if for some reason you can't download it, here's the whole mod with the source code I mentioned.
