• What's the best way to clean an LCD monitor?

My LCD monitor has some smudges on it. I was wondering what they best way to clean it would be. I've read that it's best to use a 50/50 solution of water and alcohol, but I wasn't sure if that was entirely accurate, so I decided to consult your help.
A wet toilet paper piece, quickly followed by a dry one seems to do the trick for me. You just cant let the water stay on the screen for too long.
Whatever you use to clean your windows works just fine. Spray onto papertowel, wipe your screen, wipe again with dry towel.

I use a large microfiber cloth: I have some alcohol solution for cleaning glasses, though I bet putting water on a quarter of it and drying with the other bit would work just fine.
microfiber cloth.
Microfibre cloth for de-desting and finger prints. Water for smudges (Use a damp cloth, damp enough to matter but not damp enough for drips) Why use chemicals when you don't need to, some chemicals will yellow your screen over time.
