I'm planning to build myself a new gaming PC as the one I have now is starting to get outdated..
Opinions?
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium OEM - 99.99
Case: Rosewill Challenger U3 Black - 69,99
Motherboard: Asus P8B75-V - 104.99
GPU: XFX Double D HD 7970 - 429.99
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz - 229.99
SSD: SanDisk SDSSDP G25 64 GB - 68.99
HDD: Seagate Constellation 1 TB 7200 RPM - 119.99
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X 16 GB 1600 DDR3 - 114.99
Extra: Dell UltraSharp Stereo Soundbar - 39.99
Total: $1,228.91
I'll be reusing my 20'' Dell IN2020M and my 17'' Samsung SyncMaster 913v, also my CD drive.
Consider getting less ram (8GB should be fine).
Also get Windows 8 as I now like the fact that they're bringing the start menu back (or not, I just read it would be but still love start is back as well).
Up to you really on the Windows 8 part, There's nothing wrong with Windows 7 as far as I'm concerned.
Also what PSU are you getting? It appears you haven't placed one in this post.
You got a B75 board with an unlocked i5 you should get a Z77 board with that unlocked cpu maybe an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 or sticking with the Asus line Asus P8Z77-V-LX
You also seem to have an enterprise class hard disk when really this is all you need: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840 (or a WD blue)
As for SSD i never really seen a sandisk performance but I would always recommend a samsung 840 120gb'
Your graphic card choice is good but check for lower prices on new egg you can get the same card for $399 with a 30 dollar rebate (so $369)
Also you might want to get a speaker set with subwoofer depending on what you want to do with it. 2x5w isnt gonna be very impressive.
I just want to use the soundbar if I need to show something to my friends. Instead of having to give them my headset. They all can just listen from the soundbar

Forgot to mention that, I'll be reusing my 600watt Thermaltake TR2. I'll be giving my current PC to a family member, I'll put in a older 400watt PSU and stick in my old HD4800 in it.

I also downgraded to 8GB as sheirdanm said.
