Im sick of playing games that are only 8-12 hours long. I want something that will take me a while to finish. No a game that I'll be playing for a while, just once through, SP only.
All I know of is the Elder Scrolls series.

If you have a PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4
The cut scenes alone are about 12-14 hours.
Most other open-ended rpgs should do.
Fable 1 and 2 come to mind.
Zelda twilight princess took me about 40 hours to complete the first time i played it.
Mornington Crescent.
Kingdom Hearts 2
It takes close to an hour of game play to get through the prologue.
Fallout series.
of course bioshock
edit : Dead Space is pretty long too
Grand Theft Auto 4.
I had so much fun I forgot to complete missions.
Serious Sam.
Played it for about 8 hours, quite fast through the levels.
Never finished the game.

It took me about 3 hours to complete all gta 4's mission and by missions I mean stabbing people, driving into things really quickly and purposely failing stunt jumps on motor bikes.

I agree with this guy. The cut scenes take forever, but it's an interesting story.
I just started playing donkey kong 64 on my n64 again and i noticed that me and my brother have been playing for 88 hours on our main game and we've completed 85%
Half life 1

Cutscenes take 12-14 hours, actual gameplay time is about 2-3 hours (or seems like it sometimes).
Still a fun game.
I recommend Fallout 3, Final Fantasy games, Kingdom Hearts games or Garry's Mod (since the last one is as long as you want it to be).
I still haven't finished HL2 yet.

And I bought it like, 3 years ago.

are you gamer or what? :buddy:
Hard platform games, you'll take sometime but get ready to rage when you fail the entire level because you missed a jump.

If you're talking about ragequits;
Ninja Gaiden (any of the series)
And like the another forum user said, Persona.
There is an endurance run for Persona 4

It's 155 episodes long.
Final Fantasy 10
Sins of a Solar Empire can potentially take months to complete a game and it has multiplayer.
I Wanna Be The Guy,
enjoy trying to beat it
Skies of Arcadia.
Longest Journey 1 + 2....
They're quite long, at least 2 I know for sure, mainly cutscenes and dialogue though... Provides for a great story.
