They couldn't run 60fps in crowded areas? Damn. I can run all maxed settings in Absolution and everywhere I go I had 60fps. It's worrying because it's not fun to play games when fps isn't steady.
Tested on a GTX 970. Now try an R9 390, it's been played up by AMD so I imagine the DX12 works much better in that situation.
Give a few driver updates and patches and I'm sure they'll get it running smooth..hopefully.
Drivers do make big difference these days. I'd wait for the game ready drivers before jumping to conclusions on performance. I literally just downloaded the drivers for the division, and got a 20fps boost.
Only thing putting me off from buying this is the episodic releases. I just think it's silly, but it depends how much content we get each month.

The missions in the older games were never really interconnected, except by it's locations. Remember the first three games ? You would go to some location (Japan, Germany, Amsterdam...) and those 3-4 mission were connected. Now each episode is one(?) location with several missions, they can polish it nicely, get feedback, and I'm sure the next episodes will be better and improved over the previous ones. Then at the end, they can even make a mini-rerelease, with a "full enhanced final edition" release.
I like it because it's only $15 for the first part. If it turns out shit, I won't feel bad about burning $60 like on Absolution. If it's good, I'll buy the rest of the episodes and won't care that it cost like $5 more than preordering
