• X58 Motherboards?

I'm going to be upgrading to a core i7 860 sometime soon, firstly I'll need a good motherboard to go support it. I've been looking at the GA-EX58-UD3R, it seems pretty good. My budget is about $200 - $300 AUS, I'd like it if it had Crossfire and SLI (Or JUST crossfire) support. The rest of my specs are: Antec 1200 GTX 280 Thermaltake Toughpower 600W 320gb and a 500gb HDD Also, would I be able to use my Thermaltake V1 heatsink with an i7? [editline]06:51AM[/editline] Anyone?
Still no help?
-snip- i7 860's are P55's
Really? I'll probably go with the 920 then, the price isn't that different.
I have a X58-UD3R with a i7 920 myself, it's an excellent board and I've had no problems with it or anything. Tons of BIOS features as well. It's fairly cheap and a good value-for-money board. As for the heatsink, I'm not sure, I use watercooling.
I'd get a ASUS P6T (series) board. They seem to be overlooked by many, but they're great OCers (and overall great boards). I got my 920 to 4.5 on mmy p6t deluxe v2.
The P6T is too far over my budget.
Really? I'll probably go with the 920 then, the price isn't that different.
unless you're doing professional rendering or something, go i5 because you won't need HT
or go i7 860 and a 1156 socket board
