I've had 2 GTX 250s for about a year or so now, and I think it's time for an upgrade.
I'm not 100% on my budget, I'm mostly just looking for recommended nVIDIA cards that work well for the money.
Although, my other option is I can get two GTX 285s that will setup pretty much the same.
I'm not the most computer savvy so if I screwed anything up or if you need specs let me know.
It's better to go with one good GPU than to go SLI with two not very good GPU's, but I need a ballpark budget. Even $100-$200, $200-$300 or something.

$250, maybe $400 max.
Then a GTX 770 is your best option since you want to stay with Nvidia.
I recommend getting two R9 280x's as well. You will be wasting over $100, and it will actually preform worse.

I'm not 100% on what you mean by "stay with Nvidia", I thought the 670 and 770 were both nvidia, since those are what I'm looking at now.

I was assuming you didn't want to go with an AMD card even though the 280X beats a 770 for less money as the R9 280X is $300 and the GTX 770 that ranges from $315-$440. So I would really recommend just getting a 280X
How big is the increase between the 670 and 770? I think i'll just stick with Nvidia.
