• Buying More Memory, What to Get?

'Ello, I currently have 8gb of memory and am looking to upgrade to 24gb or 32gb. I have a Intel DP67BA Motherboard, which has 4 slots (and can support up to 32gb memory) "Each memory slot can hold DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-17000, DDR3 PC3-14900 with a maximum of 8GB" (copy-pasted) I have a Quad Core i7-2600 CPU (3.40 GHz, 8 MB cache). What is the best way to do this? Buy another pair of 8gb? Just get rid of my current 4gb pair and buy new memory? I've had the 4gb pair since 2011 October, so it's a year old. I'm looking at Amazon and NewEgg, and they have conflicting reviews of some memory I was specifically looking at, so I decided to come here. What brands should I look for, what's the best way to do this? My budget is probably max $180 or so. Thanks!

Is it really worth having more than 8gb (if you don't use PS intensively, or run a VM that is)?
