I know I have no OS and no fans, and I already have a graphics card, I just need to know if this is compatible or not. Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131631 CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103913 Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220557 Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018 Disk Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136216 *2 HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148506 Cooling: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118074 Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119227 I have more than enough money, just tell me where I can improve things. Thanks for helping.
Those are compatible but i'd recommend you to change a few things. For PSU get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207007 For HDDs get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185 x2 if you need the 2TB. You won't be needing SATA III HDD as HDDs ain't capable to even fully make use out of SATA II bandwitdh. For CPU cooler get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608018 It's one of the best performing CPU coolers out there and it's really silent too. Also why do you need 2 Disk drives ? If you have the money why don't you got for Intel I5-2500k build or I7-2600k as those don't cost that much more than your current choices.
Costs more than what you picked out but is superior in every way. Are you going to use the threads the 2600k has and 8GB RAM? If it's just for gaming get 4GB and an i5 2500k. As for a CPU cooler, that Zalman is funnily priced, you can get a NH-D14 for $10 more. If you have plenty get the above + NH-D14.
and the zalman is ricer crap
Sorry about that, I really appreciate it. Thanks. [editline]28th June 2011[/editline] Oh yeah, I was planning on moving my old HDD to this build so that's why I picked the 2TB HDD. [editline]28th June 2011[/editline] Also, one stupid question, will a HDD function perfectly on a 6gb/s SATA if it's 3gb/s?
Also, one stupid question, will a HDD function perfectly on a 6gb/s SATA if it's 3gb/s?
Yes. 6Gb/s SATA = SATA III 3Gb/s SATA = SATA II SATA is downwards compatible.
One last question. (Terribly sorry, I just want to make sure nothing fucks up) Are you sure the PSU has a high enough wattage? I would rather have a buffer zone of around 100 watts but I'll do what you tell me to do.
depends on what the GPU is but 850W is enough for two 580s so
