I'd actually give this a shot, It's pretty appealing to me.

Yeah its pretty great. Though the AI can turn from smart to fucking retarded if you arent careful.
It usually happens mid game when you start expanding, if you arent careful villagers will have jobs across the map, which leads to them dying of starvation/cold because they travel so far and only fix those issues at there house. This then starts a big spiral downwards of you losing half the population.
I wish you could set households to jobs right near them, but the best fix I found for those problems is to remove everyone from there jobs, and re add them after you expanded.
Also put storage barns alongside roads that your villagers spend a lot of time traveling on, say you made a corner of the map all farm land, put the barn between that and a village, it helps a shitload with starvation.
Aside from that I fucking love it.
Also stone houses > wood houses all the way.
I like this game due to how it is, however in my honest opinion, it needs more content right now. it's like a dwarf fortress gameplay but sim city graphics in a way, I wish there was a research option to where I could find ways on improving the storage space on my storage warehouse by another 1000 so that it can fit more goods, and also find a way to help fight against fires or make brick houses then stone houses. I want this game in my honest opinion, has a research tree similar to civilization 5 in a way.
It's a bit bare bones right now but the developer has said he wants to expand on it. I think at its price it's well worth it and you'll certainly get your money's worth, though it does lack some of the depth that would make it more long lasting of a game.

Yeah, it shows its bareness lategame when you get over like 300+ population.
Luckily the developer already said hes making mod support which will hopefully end up with the game having great mods.
I do remember saying the Developer essentially saying the game is finished in his eyes and only plans on making quality of life improvements.
Hopefully he adds a bit more, but regardless its well worth its price and a fantastic city simulator type game.
Its like if Anno had less of a budget and ended up on Plymouth rock.

If what you say is true, then It will be nice to see someone come up with a fantasy version of banished. People can mod the game to add in military and wars against other nations who want to remove ALL the exiles land and put them to the sword, and/or fight against those "goblins" and other hostile creatures. I also love to have research into the game so I can progress further then the average nation, more storage, faster roads, bigger homes, and the cure of certain diseases to fight against it that are ravaging the village.
I only have a little less than 100 people and I'm already bored of the game.
It's fun at first when you're figuring out how to survive, but once you get the ball rolling I feel like it's kind of dull.

You havnt got a ball rolling, the easiest citizen achievement is 300 pop, your nowhere near.

You missed my point. I'm saying that it gets pretty boring once you've managed to ensure the survival of the people.
