Currently I have a 3.2 GHz quad-core processor and 8gb ram, everything is fine there.
My graphics card on the other hand, is amd 7470 HD. Yes it sucks, I know.
I wanted to know if upgrading to GTX 650 Ti 2gb would be a good upgrade. (I'm upgrading for Rust and plenty other games)
A problem is I have 350W psu, I think i'm going to upgrade to 530 before I get the gtx.
(If you are wondering why i'm leaving amd, it's because nvida is just more supported now-a-days)
Any recommendations or thoughts?
The less money I spend, the better.
The gtx 650 ti 2gb is 150 on amazon new.
the 530W psu is 50.
200 dollars.
This good?
Nvidia is not any more supported than AMD. They both have exclusive technologies (which do not make a big difference unless you're using them for video editing), strengths and weaknesses (AMD preforms better with OpenCL for example, and different games see better performance with different cards), and driver problems (CFX was recently very buggy until AMD mostly fixed it, and Nvidia recently released a driver that was frying cards). The best choice for $150 exactly is the 650 ti boost (not the 650 ti). If you can stretch further the 7850 is a small boost, and the 7870 is a big boost for only a little tiny bit more. What PSU are you getting so we can make sure it's not an IED?

What is an IED?
It's this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152028
An IED is an improvised explosive device. Bad power supplies will literally burn out your computer components, so you have to replace all of them (in addition to the PSU). I would not get that PSU, Raidmax aren't generally considered a reputable manufacturer. Here's one that's only $5 more from a fantastic manufacturer: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9.
