• MSI GE62 2QE apache 4K Resolution problems, driving me insane

Hello everyone, A while ago I posted a thread about my laptop and the troubles I had. I had no support whatsoever from MSI, but figured to solve most problems on my own . (One of them including the blocked serial-key , I got a reactivated dreamspark account since I started another IT Study today, and activated Windows 10). But new problems arise and I've never been more frustrated in all the time I've ever spent on computers in general. My laptop has a 4K Resolution Display, pretty neat.. but that would be, if it worked at all. the specs of this laptop are pretty okay, it's still a mobile GPU, but not bad : Specifications:
Processor Intel Core i7-4720HQ 2.6 GHz (Intel Core i7) Graphics adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M - 2048 MB, Core: 924 MHz, Memory: 2500 MHz, GDDR5, ForceWare 344.75 (9.18.13.4475), Optimus Memory 16384 MB , DDR3, 1600 MHz, Dual-Channel, two memory banks (both occupied) Display 15.6 inch 16:9, 3840x2160 pixel, Samsung SDC4852, IPS, 4k, glossy: yes
So here is a list of problems: 1: 4K Video playback is terrible in chrome, it's laggy as hell and I've read a lot of people had this problem, but its so terrible as if the screen is lagging. It's not the internet connection, I have a glass fiber 100mbit upload/download connection that is stable around 97 mbit/s . The video buffers perfectly, but has terrible playback. 2: Any program I try to run on 4K resolution (I know its a mobile GPU, its a notebook and cannot expect to much, but with settings on normal or low even) crashes directly, it tells me " gpu instance has been suspended" and I cannot find any fix or more information about this issue. (*Most of the time it also displays for example that a texture or object could not load correctly, when it happens to steam games I tried to validate the steam files but without success*)The audio is terrible on the rare occasions If someone manages to help me I'd be more thankful than ever, I'm incredibly tired of these issues and frustrated, to the point where I just don't know what to do any more. Thanks in advance and I hope to hear back from you guys. Kind regards - Yet another error I receive running anything in 4K (Programs, Games) :
idxgiswapchain present failed
Any help would be very much appreciated
It sounds like you got a bad system. I'd contact their support and see if you can get a replacement sent. EDIT: nevermind, I didn't notice the part where you already contacted them. What's the model and make of the laptop? EDIT again: jesus I can't read today
How long have you had the laptop, and what do you mean support isn't helping? What do your conversations with them look like? Are you still in warranty?
How long have you had the laptop, and what do you mean support isn't helping? What do your conversations with them look like? Are you still in warranty?
I have the emails somewhere, I got the laptop around 2 weeks ago. The support isn't helping and only refers me to another support type (Technical to customer and so on), and then they try to get me to send the laptop for repair.. While I'm pretty sure it's a Software issue. (HW Tests and stress tests revealed it). At this moment : I can now run things on 4K resolution again, games, programms without it crashing and it giving a direct x error. I've basically done this to anyone having the same problem: Uninstalled all Nvidia Drivers with the removal tool you have for this (not sure if I can post it here on facepunch cause it's a direct download link). I've installed every version of direct x , every single version you can think of . I used the Intel Driver update tool and it basically only showed me that I already had the most recent drivers, but I decided to uninstall those too and reinstall them. Now I can easily put things on 4K resolution again (Again: Games, Programms), but even on the lowest of the lowest specs the screen lags and stutters ... Almost as if the refresh rate is not correct. I played around with settings @ the Nvidia control panel, but all without any success. I'm so desperate to fix this because I cannot send it for repair due to needing it for school too. Does anyone have any idea what it could be ? (No sign of being anywhere near repairing the chrome youtube 4K stutter/lag) [editline]4th September 2015[/editline]
It sounds like you got a bad system. Especially if that is what support is suggesting you do. What different OS's have you tried?

I've recorded a simple video (With my phone, because recording with a screen recorder wouldn't capture it clear enough) what I mean with the lag. It looks like a sync issue or refresh issue but I'm not sure, has anyone ever experienced something like this? Even recorded like this it's not too clear but look at the feet for example being cut away, the stairs and so on.

I don't mean to be rude but quit being stubborn and send it in.

Seems to work fine again without problems , except for the same 4K issue on Chrome, sadly.
