• After 2+ years of service, my PS3 has decided to stop working

After playing GTA: San Andreas on my PS3, I tried to quit the game and go back into the XMB. It locked up and froze, forcing me to turn it off and back on. Now whenever I turn it on, I get a message that says "The hard disk's file system is corrupted and will be restored." I press ok to restore the system. When it finishes and restarts, I'm greeted with the same message.
Picture?
Some images would be nice
stop playing that ps triple for a while and put it in a cool spot
I can leave my PS3 on all day (and night) and not notice until the next day. It's probably not an over heating issue, but you could try switching it to a different place to see if it makes a difference.
I don't have a working SD card for my digital camera, so I can't take pictures.
Most cameras have a small amount of user memory, don't they?

Put a nice IDE in with a sata adapter or something.
Go into the recovery menu like so: 1. Turn off Playstation 2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again. 3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps 4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button. 5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button 6. The Recovery menu will pop up. Restore File System from there. If that doesn't work, Rebuild Database. Should that fail, Restore PS3 System. You'll lose all data should you have to do that though. I'll try that out the next chance I get to use my PS3, which would be tomorrow.

That's what I get for turning it off at the back all the time.
