I have sky broadband. I don't really know how I can get on there anymore now. I've heard theres lot's of ways to get around these but I don't know any.

Are you complaining or what? These companies gain nothing from blocking a site so they block it as little as possible. If they get told "Block thepiratebay.se" they'll do just that and nothing more, even though it would be extremely easy to block a bunch of ip addresses as well
