This morning I turned on my PC, as usual, and went downstairs to get some breakfast. As I came back upstairs my computer wasn't turned on. I obviously thought that I forgot to turn it on, so I pressed the power button again. No dice. I'm really not sure what's going on with it, but power is coming through to the keyboard and monitor, but not the tower itself. Is there a chance it is just a blown fuse or something like that? If not, I would really like to know what the problem is/ how much it is going to cost.. I can probably give any more information (if needed) Thanks a lot if you know anything!
Did it smell of smoke at all?
Is the power cable connected to the PSU? :downs:
Did it smell of smoke at all?
Nope, none at all. I forgot to mention that this computer was custom built, and it's been working fine since march. I still have my old computer, it just cannot play any games on it at all, it's that bad.
Check the capacitors. Sometimes they explode, sometimes they just bulge or start to leak. Here are some photos of defective ones: http://www.burtonsys.com/bad_BP6/story5.html
Is the power cable connected to the PSU? :downs:
Everythings connected/ plugged in. [editline]03:14PM[/editline] Taking it apart now... Praying there isn't anything massively wrong with it!! Are the capacitors easy to replace?
Display not working :- Videocard problems. How many beeps are made when you boot?

Try switching the PSU or wait, before you do that, try unplugging everything except power, and see if it boots...
Power should not come through the keyboard if the tower is not working. Do you have a wired or wireless keyboard?
ARHEM. VEEDEO CARD PROBLEMOS. No display but power goes to peripherals=VEEDEO CARD PROBLEMOS. kay?
Since peripherals are still getting power and there doesn't seem to be any response to the power button... Check the button's connectors and make sure it's not actually broken i guess.

My computer has been dead for a bit and I wasn't exactly sure why but based on the symptoms I figured it was my motherboard. After seeing this article I decided to take a peek at my motherboard, and sure enough I see a capacitor that is bulging with some fluid coming out. Thanks for the link!
