• New Graphics Card Bugs

I have just installed a Radeon HD 4670, and have tried to run Garry's Mod on it to test it. However, I come across a bizarre bug at times when the program hangs for a second to load a new model, say from Team Fortress 2. Here are some screens: As you can see, it essentially breaks all the graphics, like randomly going to fullbright, doing hall of mirrors, and changing the alpha of things. However, the bug is intermittent. So far, the bug only seems to affect Gmod when loading extensive maps or TF2 models. But after the bug is inflicted, loading a new map which would previously inflict the bug or loading the offending models after loading a new map don't cause it to happen again. The only constant cause is attempting to use the Overlay in Post-Processing. This seems to be a temporary fix, but I'd like a more surefire one. Could I get some suggestions on how to fix this? I have already tried disabling the Catalyst AI in the Control Center.
It's an laptop. :downs: :downs:
It's not a fucking laptop. How do you install a video card into a laptop?
Aspire M5100 That would be a desktop.
What power supply do you have?
You have the latest drivers? The 4670 doesn't use much power, I doubt it's a power supply problem.
I updated the drivers right after I installed the card, so that's not it. Also, 1024x768 is the best resolution for my monitor. I've checked my voltages through SpeedFan and they're not bad.
It's not a fucking laptop. How do you install a video card into a laptop?
Believe it or not, on some laptops you CAN.
It's an laptop. :downs: :downs:
I have to go an poop. I have an kool-aid...
Uninstall all video drivers and do a re install, also what is our psu?
Good sir, the resolution does not come from the pc, but the monitor. :downs:
why would you downgrade the res. or not upgrade it
why would you downgrade the res. or not upgrade it
that's the least bit of his problem right now don't you think? Instead of being butthurt on why his res is so "low" which it really isn't you should be doing something useful. People prefer different resolutions get used to it.
you have no idea what butthurt means, do you
butthurt. learn the definition. also, no one "Prefers" 1024x768
I do... I don't like having a huge res, on any game I play.
I do... I don't like having a huge res, on any game I play.
stuff > 1024x768 =/= "hueg res" huge res is like above 1280x800 and i mean no one prefers it as in its 4:3 also, windowed mode :eng101:
stuff > 1024x768 =/= "hueg res" huge res is like above 1280x800 and i mean no one prefers it as in its 4:3 also, windowed mode :eng101:
Actually 1280x800 isn't even near huge anymore. 2560x1056 is huge now, most monitors are like 1680x1050 or around there if you game Anyways use a driver program to uninstall all of your old drivers and install new ones, other than that I wouldn't know
i'm just saying, since he apparently thinks everything greater than 1024x768 is huge. i'd say anything over 1920x1200 is huge
I didn't say that. I just said I don't like any games over 1024 x 768, except for Mirrors Edge which I run at 1600 x 1200. I keep my desktop at 1280 x 800.
