Ever since the TF2 update, Steam has been randomly kicking me from games. It says the it can't find the VAC server or the connection has failed or some bullshit. I know that my computer usually works perfectly, but now it doesn't like me.
First, it was just CS:S. I got pissed, so I went to play TF2. It didn't happen to me, but I did notice that many of the others in my game were being kicked with the reason being "No Steam Login". They were being kicked in numbers of three or four and they would always return to the same thing happening again about 5 minutes later.
This pissed me off, so I went to play Gmod. Fine for the first 6 hours. Then I get kicked. Great.
Is this a Steam-wide error, or what? What the fuck do I do? No Gmod = kill in console.
Sure someone else isn't logging into your account?
I see people get kicked for this error all the time on TF2, so I guess it's caused by the server overload with all the f2pers.
As I said in another thread, I've been getting this BEFORE the f2p update, even on CS:S on nonvacced servers.
Edit:
Odd, I only get this glitch on my vac-banned account. I played TF2 for a while yesterday until it was interrupted by a power outage.
Nope, no-one else uses my account. I know that as a fact.
It would say that your account was being accessed from elsewhere if someone else was using your account.
I recall this a while back, and apparently deleting "clientregistry.blob" fixes it for some.
If it becomes a real issue, try to do a fresh reinstall of Steam.
Several people are getting kicked for the same reason on a Gmod server I on regularly on... I assume it's just Steam's problem.
Alright, I think it's most likely to be Steam's problem as I have noticed regular kicks as well. But there's something else that proves that it's most likely TF2's high player count; the kicks happen more reguarly at peak server times. Evening in the UK is when I'm most likely to get randomly kicked.
