Blah blah blah obligatory "I bet the pools will be DLC" post blah blah
Eh, I have to admit this is a better system than what they've done in the past, but that's like saying having your balls cut off is better than having your eyes poked out with forks.
Will it have double xp weekends like BF4 premium?
Premium membership? So, $400 for all the expansion packs?
No issue with this as far as I see it
Premium players will enjoy exclusive items and early access to packs, in the fashion Battlefield players have become accustomed to.
Early access to packs is fine since the packs will be available anyways for everyone Exclusive items probably wont be anything life important essential to your Sims surviving the day or anything, just cosmetics and misc furniture I assume
Early access to toddler pack with pools included. Ladders to be available in the upcoming "Survival" pack
This is actually good compared to what they've done in the past, if the game costs like $60 and premium's $60 as well, and there's no bullshit like "whoop de doo it's actually a season pass go pay more for the next batch of DLC "

I'm trying to want this game, EA. Stop making it so hard.
They mean a one time premium right, and not a subscription?
They mean a one time premium right, and not a subscription?
If it's anything like BF3 and 4 like they said, then yeah, it's a one time payment.
I rather have premium account than billions of overpriced "expansion" packs.
I wonder what exactly the packs are, whether expansion packs or stuff packs. Depending on the content it could be a pretty good deal.
I rather have premium account than billions of overpriced "expansion" packs.
I doubt we can get any expansion by just being a premium user
Yeah, you probably just get to buy them early.
But getting Premium for BF3/4 gives you all the expansions with two weeks of early access to them, I don't see why should it be different here
You can only shower and poop if you get premium, otherwise your sim(s) will keep dieing from awful hygiene
that sounds like one of the old anti-piracy measures games used to have
I hate all the premium store stuff that appears in Sims 3 ingame, is there any way to disable it from appearing at all? I only just started playing it again after a break of a couple years. If this works out as pay once receive all major expansions to Sims 4 I could see it being a reasonably attractive proposition if the game turns out good.
But getting Premium for BF3/4 gives you all the expansions with two weeks of early access to them, I don't see why should it be different here
Well all expansions to BF3/4 cost like $15 and there's 5 of each, while S3's dlc are about $30 and there's way more of them

There's a box in the options that says "Enable store content" or something along those lines that you can uncheck.
I know some people who bought everything for TS3 who will probably like this. But I always skipped out on stuff packs and expansions that didn't interest me, so I'll probably save more by doing that in the long run. And I certainly don't want to pay for premium membership just to get a bunch of Katy Perry Sweet Treats packs... Good God... Still, for certain people this will probably be a nifty thing.

The way things work out EA probably won't even care much and just put it down as $70.
Eh. We all knew it was coming. No surprise here really. Like someone else said this could be a better method than forking out for expensive as fuck individual expansions.
That's Sims 3 though, they might be doing a different model for Sims 4, maybe smaller & cheaper expansions?
I'd say fewer but beefier packages
No thanks.
They are just too lazy and Money minded to make a good videogame. This game is so empty. Not even at the most basic unlike the Sims 2.
You can only shower and poop if you get premium, otherwise your sim(s) will keep dieing from awful hygiene
good thing i already have a "sponge bath only" rule in every sims household i make
That's Sims 3 though, they might be doing a different model for Sims 4, maybe smaller & cheaper expansions?
Yeah, $5 each DLC like "The Pool Pack" and "The Toddler Pack"
the sims in sims 4 don't need to submerge themselves in water, they take dust baths like chinchillas.
