Hey'all, I've had this problem for weeks now that whenever I load up the Youtube homepage, or "my channel" page, the site will freeze for 3-10 seconds, and in that time I am unable to do anything,
not even close the tab until the freeze goes away. I'm not sure what caused this problem as it did not happen a month ago, and I did not download any extensions between now and then.
I tested going on youtube in incognito mode (using Chrome) and surprisingly it doesn't freeze there. I even allowed all my extensions on incognito but still runs smooth. I've tried deleting
all cookies, cache, history etc. but the problem persists. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
I had a similar problem before, I believe it was because of a realtek sound-card and after some tweaking driver settings it was fixed. Somehow, it caused a problem with any flash based videos, especially youtube. Just an idea though..
I'm sure that's not the issue, as I said when I run Chrome incognito the pages load fine.
Also need to mention that this only happens on the youtube homepage, when I search for videos, my youtube page/someone elses. It doesn't actually freeze when I go to a page with an embed video on it.
Well if it doesn't happen in incognito mode it could be to do with your cookies or cache. Go into your internet history, and clear everything (cache, cookies form info everything) since the beginning of time (as google calls it :v:)
