slow news day
I would hope not because of how well they handled it.
It wasn't another #bendgate, because Samsung actually responded.

Funny that they didn't blame the problems on their customer being an idiot. Like Antennagate, or bendgazi where it was esentially Apple telling you you're holding your phone wrong.
I wonder what apple would blame their phones blowing up on. Customer wasn't picking up the package properly?
when i was flying to/from london just recently they announced on the safety briefing that passengers were not allowed to have their "galaxy 7" phones turned on at all, so yeah

Terrorist attack using Samsung phones has been thwarted!
enough people have decided to not get the iphone 7 because of the headphone thing, apple's stocks took a nasty hit from it.
so yeah, samsung isn't hurting. also, they're just better phones overall.
yet iphones were backordered till mid october and the jet black iphone was backordered till november, and t-mobile called it the biggest pre-order in t-mobile history
Nope. I'm extremely pleased with my S7 and I'll trade it in when the time comes for another Samsung. Best phones I've ever used.
If exploding phones burned the brand, why didn't bending phones bend the company out of shape?
So no.

Perhaps it is because bending is not the same as an explosion. As in collateral damage.

Bendgate was no biggie either though, it was just the annual apple joke. It really was no big deal for anybody, and turned out to be bs in the and, as anyone not on the bandwagon expected

because there is no phone, and it's you who is bending.
I've never been a fan of Samsung's phones because their build quality and (now) non removable battery. But if anything, this incident gave me more respect for them because of their willingness to replace all of those notes.

okay
show me a source that says all of them were previously note 7/samsung phone owners

I highly doubt people are going to completely switch ecosystems, OSes, phone sizes, cables, etc. just because one phone had a design issue that was recalled and fixed

I feel like by law they're probably required to in most countries.

They're not obligated to do anything. Civil suits are a thing though.
